The Trees Among Us by Dr. Matt Ritter
Date: Monday November 19, 2012
Time: 7:15 pm

In California, there is no need to travel to an exotic location to be awed by nature when much of the world’s amazing plant diversity is represented in our neighborhood parks and gardens, and on our streets. Dr. Ritter’s presentation will be a photographic journey through some of his favorite natural history stories about California’s cultivated trees. He will share identification tips for common trees and make a case for why correct tree identification can be essential.
Meetings start at 7:15 p.m. in the County Fair Building at The San Francisco Botanical Gardens You can meet the speakers for a walk through San Francisco Botanical Gardens at Strybing Arboretum at 4:00 in front of the Botanical Garden bookstore (9th Avenue & Lincoln Way). If you're not a member, there is a Guest Fee of $5.
